I have a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education with a minor in Statistics and over 25 years of teaching experience. I also have masters and bachelors in math and I am certified to teach 9-12 math. I have taught college, undergrads and grad students and now run a learning center where I tutor K-12 students
Experience
I have taught adult GED classes, helped doctoral students with the statistics needed for their dissertations, worked with student teachers, taught at community college, undergraduate,and graduate classes. I assess student knowledge for families with private assessments, provide list of goals for students,understand learning differences and know how to adapt instruction based on each individual students needs and learning style. I know many math tricks that other teachers don't know and can break down information into easy to understand steps. Remember, all math tutors are not equal, just because someone is good in math doesn't mean they have the training and experience to teach it well.
