Experience
I have experience working as a tutor in a variety of platforms. When I was in college, I worked as a teaching assistant for freshman physics and tutored the class students. I have also worked as an online tutor through the Star Tribune website. I taught myself calculus by studying an old textbook that I found, and I earned a degree in physics with honors. My teaching philosophy is to act as a guide to students on their path to academic discovery. I find enjoyment in tutoring students in the many levels and subjects of math as well as physics and computer science. I believe that as a tutor I can help students to learn new skills in math and that the student will develop a satisfaction in their studies. I also believe that I can help students to retain the knowledge they gain from our sessions for a longer period of time than they otherwise would. In my free time I enjoy orienteering because it involves math and the outdoors. I also like to hike.
